Anti-Measles Virus

IgM antibodies against the measles virus can be detected about two weeks after primary infection for a period of four to six weeks. They can be detected and quantified with the Anti-Measles-Virus IgM assay. Once infected, a patient generally develops life-long immunity, and measles virus IgG antibodies remain detectable throughout the lifetime of the patient. By using the WHO NIBSC 97/648 standard for calibration, the ORGENTEC Anti-Measles Virus IgG allows for the determination of antibody activity in international units (IU/I). This facilitates comparison of results across different laboratories and makes it possible to determine the immune status of the patient.

Anti-Measles Virus IgG

Anti-Measles Virus IgG is an ELISA-based, automated, in-vitro test system for the quantitative determination of IgG antibodies against measles virus in human serum or plasma. It is used to determine the patient’s immune status.

Anti-Measles Virus IgM Abs.

Anti-Measles Virus IgM with rheumatoid factor absorbent is an ELISA-based, automated, in-vitro test system fort he quantitative determination of IgM antibodies against measles virus in human serum or plasma. It is used to detect acute or recent infection with measles virus.
IgM-class rheumatoid factor antibodies can distort the results of pathogen-specific IgM antibody tests. The Anti-Measles Virus IgM Abs. test is equipped with the ORGENTEC rheumatoid factor absorbent. This reagent absorbs any rheumatoid factors that may be present during sample processing in the Alegria® instrument, making separate preparation of the serum sample unnecessary.
