ANCAcombi is an ELISA test system for the qualitative determination of anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA) in human serum or plasma. It is used for the serological detection of autoimmune systemic vasculitis and for the differentiation of systemic inflammatory diseases.

Antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA) are directed against cytoplasmic antigens from human neutrophil granulocytes. They are primarily detected in patients with inflammatory disease of the vascular system. The ANCAcombi assay detects ANCA against seven antigens in a single test: proteinase 3 (PR3), myeloperoxidase (MPO), bactericidal permeability-increasing protein (BPI), elastase, cathepsin G, lysozyme, and lactoferrin.

The wells of each strip are coated with the relevant highly purified, native antigens. An additional well is used for test calibration. Each ANCAcombi test kit thus allows to test twelve serum samples for the individual ANCA antigens.

The corresponding ORGENTEC individual tests can subsequently be used to quantitatively identify the individual ANCA antibodies: Anti-PR3 and the highly sensitive version Anti-PR3 hs, Anti-MPO, Anti-BPI, Anti-Elastase, Anti-Cathepsin G, Anti-Lysozyme, Anti-Lactoferrin.
