The Nucleo-9-Line test is a membrane-based enzyme immunoassay for the semi-quantitative determination of IgG autoantibodies against various nuclear antigens (ANA) in human serum or plasma.
The immunoblot Nucleo-9-Line uses nine antigens that typically appear in various inflammatory rheumatologic conditions. Especially Sm, dsDNA and nucleosomes play an important role in the diagnosis of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). The nine purified antigens are individually applied as bands on a nitrocellulose strip. For detection bound antibodies are stained by an enzyme-catalysed substrate reaction.
The Nucleo-9-Line blot is an important and easy-to-use test system for the further differentiation of ANA after ELISA screening or immunofluorescence tests.
