Anti-Nucleosome

Anti-Nucleosome is an ELISA-based, automated, in-vitro test system for the quantitative determination of IgG antibodies against parts of the nucleosome, a structural component of chromatin, in human serum or plasma.

This sensitive and specific serological test assists in the diagnosis of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and drug-induced lupus (DIL). It is more sensitive than the test for dsDNA antibodies, and the anti-nucleosome antibodies can be detected earlier than anti-dsDNA antibodies. They thus provide a valuable indicator for the early diagnosis of emerging SLE in cases where SLE is suspected but dsDNA antibodies are not detected.
