Anti-Lysozyme
Anti-Lysozyme is an ELISA-based, automated, in-vitro test system for the quantitative determination of IgG antibodies against lysozyme in human serum or plasma.
This test for antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA) against lysozyme allows cases involving a positive immunofluorescence test for ANCA, but negative direct tests for proteinase 3 (PR3) and myeloperoxidase (MPO) antibodies to be cleared up quickly and reliably.
Lysozyme is a glucosidase localised in the specific granules of neutrophils. In indirect immunofluorescence tests, lysozyme antibodies give a typical pANCA pattern. Their detection indicates rheumatoid vasculitis or Sjögren’s syndrome; they may also occur in cases of SLE and ulcerative colitis.
