ANCAscreen hs (high sensitive)
ANCAscreen hs (high sensitive) is an ELISA-based, automated, in-vitro test system for the qualitative determination of IgG antibodies against proteinase 3 (PR3) and myeloperoxidase (MPO) in human serum or plasma.
PR3 and MPO are well defined and reliable serologic markers for a definite group of primary systemic vasculitides, they are also called ANCA-associated vasculitides (AAV).
PR3 is the most frequent component of cANCA and the landmark autoantigen in granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA, formerly named Wegener’s granulomatosis) with a clinical specificity of more than 95% for the disease. MPO, the main target antigen of pANCA, is present in 70% of patients with microscopic polyangiitis (MPA) and differentiates MPA from other autoimmune diseases.
The wells of the microplate of the ANCAscreen hs (high sensitive) test are coated with a mixture of highly purified human MPO and PR3. For coating with PR3 we use the same innovative anchor technology, which we have developed and implemented in the highly sensitive single antigen ELISA Anti-PR3 hs (high sensitive). This high diagnostic performance has thus been integrated in the screening test.
