Anti-PR3 hs
Anti-PR3 hs is an ELISA-based, automated, in-vitro test system for the quantitative determination of IgG antibodies against proteinase 3 (PR3) in human serum or plasma.
The Anti-PR3 assay is an important element in the diagnosis of granulomatosis with polyangiitis (Wegener’s granulomatosis). Autoantibodies directed against PR3 play a critical role in the diagnosis of this life-threatening disease. A combination of indirect immunofluorescence (IIF) and an antigen-specific ELISA is currently recommended for the detection of these autoantibodies.
Based on a special coating technology, Anti-PR3 hs (high sensitive) (ORG 618, ORG 318) now represents an innovative ELISA whose extraordinarily high sensitivity of 96 % and specificity of 99 % provide outstanding diagnostic significance in ANCA serology. In addition, the results of Anti-PR3 hs (high sensitive) correlate well with those of IIF.
