ANA Detect
ANA Detect is an ELISA screening test for the qualitative determination of autoantibodies (IgG) against components of the cell nucleus and the cytoplasm in human serum or plasma.
Some antinuclear antibodies (ANA) act as markers for the diagnosis of inflammatory rheumatic connective tissue diseases such as lupus erythematosus (SLE), Sjögren’s syndrome, Sharp syndrome (mixed connective tissue disease), polymyositis/dermatomyositis, and progressive systemic scleroderma (PSS) with CREST syndrome.
Each individual well in the ANA Detect test is coated with 26 human, recombinant, highly purified antigens. This combination guarantees high diagnostic sensitivity with excellent specificity and is the first choice in cases of suspected systemic autoimmune disease.
Patient samples that test positive with ANA Detect should subsequently be tested with the ANAcombi ELISA or the respective single ELISA tests from ORGENTEC.
