Anti-PR3 (cANCA)
Anti-PR3 is an ELISA test for the quantitative determination of IgG antibodies against proteinase 3 (PR3) in human serum or plasma.
The anti-PR3 assay is an important element in the diagnosis of granulomatosis with polyangiitis (Wegener’s granulomatosis).
Antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA) are a group of autoantibodies directed against the cytoplasmic components of the neutrophils and monocytes. Detection of ANCA is carried out by indirect immunofluorescence (IIF), followed by antigen-specific ELISA tests such as Anti-PR3 oder Anti-PR3 hs (high sensitive) ORG 618, ORG 318).
The Anti-PR3
(hs (high sensitive) has unusually high sensitivity (96 %) and simultaneously high specificity (99 %), providing outstanding diagnostic power in ANCA diagnosis. In addition, results from this test correlate excellently with those of indirect immunofluorescence tests.
